Tommy Carter
For more than two decades, Tommy Carter has enjoyed real estate sales as an agent, a sales manager,
and a company owner.

Tommy joined Russell and Jeffcoat Real Estate as a result of Russell & Jeffcoat’s acquisition of his
company, The Carter Company. Carter’s 17 brokers and agents merged with Russell & Jeffcoat in
December, 2005. Russell & Jeffcoat is the largest independent real estate company in South Carolina.

“Joining Russell & Jeffcoat was the right fit for our agents,” Tommy said. “The company provides a
tremendous amount of on-going training and support. With that level of support, agents are able to achieve
a high degree of success.”

Tommy firmly believes in providing real estate agents with all of the tools that they need to succeed. During
his 20-plus years in real estate, he has personally trained and coached hundreds of new and experienced
real estate agents to list and sell real estate.
He is also the author of several real estate training books that
a
re sold nationwide through downloads on the Internet.

Prior to entering real estate, Tommy and his wife, Jennifer, owned a publishing company which published
three lifestyle magazines. The company also produced craft books, cook books, and other ancillary
publications.

Tommy holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. He is married to real
estate sales associate,
Jennifer Carter.

In real estate, Tommy favors direct mail over most forms of advertising, because prospects can be
targeted more efficiently. It is far more cost effective to mail your message to a few hundred qualified
prospects than to pay to reach 100,000 newspaper readers or television viewers who may or may not be
